Beethoven
Beethoven (1992)

IMDB rating: 5.00

Plot: Barely escaping from nefarious dognappers, an adorable puppy named Beethoven adopts the unsuspecting Newton family — and promptly grows up into 185 pounds of romping, drolling, disaster-prone St. Bernard! Unfortunately, even after proving his canine credentials to mom and the kids, the heroic hound gets nowhere with uptight dad, George (Charles Grodin). But when a beastly veterinarian (Dean Jones) makes Beethoven the target of an unspeakable animal experiment, George becomes the only hope for saving the Newton’s furriest family member.

how do you play jazz piano?
i’m already very distinguished at piano, and exceptional at improv. i teach at a school, but i’ve never been able to follow jazz music or play good funk music on the piano.
i’ve always had a hard time with my left hand and making good bass riffs that are interchangable and that can keep a song going.
so where do i start?
please no basic stuff, here’s my repertoire just in case:
liszt: hungarian rhapsody no 2, la campanella, libestraum no 3
beethoven: moonlight sonata, pathetique, lots of sonatas
chopin: pretty much all the etudes and nocturnes
mozart: every sonata he ever wrote
bach: a lot of inventions but mostly simple stuff

so yeah, help me out? i just don’t get it at all. and i have no idea where to start. and i feel really embarrassed asking a real musician in person… plus i’m pretty young so i never get taken seriously anyways… thanks!

Here is an old blind white guy who was pretty good on the keyboard….George Shearing…. well at least many people around the world thought so…

He may have had the same type of training that you have been exposed to. Listening to others play seems help….

also Toshiko Akiyoshi – (for contrast)
